R2B025 - Summer 2002

Spring 2002 I read something on Esato that you could get your phone upgrade to the same firmware that the new Sony Ericsson T68i was running, for free. The main reason to get my phone upgraded was to get MMS support which the original T68 lacked. The downside by upgrading was that you would loes some of the hidden games to make room for the new features.

Note: Once upgraded to T68i firmware you can't downgrade to T68m because of some dynamic memory addressing [source]. Also, when doing the T68m to T68i upgrade all userdata will be deleted for the same reason as the previous one, every other upgrade should not delete anything [source].

R8A015 - November 2004

This was quite a big jump, from R2B to R8A. After I upgraded the phone myself I imediatly noticed how much more responsive the menus were. In addition are 4 new games added; Tennis, Ballpop, Path and Pulldown. However in my first attempt I couldn't locate the correct language pack for scandinavia, so I dicieded to go for a central europe pack instead (EU5 instead of EU4). But since I don't use T9 and only english menus it's not that important for to have the correct language pack.
